The VDC (Virtual Design and Construction) Coordinator plays a critical role from pre-construction, construction and through the post-occupancy process. There are many stake holders who play an important role in the successful execution of construction projects and the VDC Coordinator is a conduit between the various teams and will analyze, organize, and disseminate relevant information to the teams in a timely and efficient manor in an effort to develop solutions for complex problems.
The VDC Coordinator should be fluent in a variety of software applications, can read and understand architectural, and engineering drawings, create accurate architecture, and engineering models and drawings. The VDC Coordinator should be able to create parametric models for various systems throughout a building. A successful VDC Coordinator must to be able to communicate clearly and effectively, have a high level of attention to detail, be organized, work well under pressure, work well with diverse teams and personalities. Finally, the VDC Coordinator should be passionate about solving problems.

VDC Coordinator Duties and Responsibilities:
Act as primary point of contact for VDC/BIM related issues
Work with project team to resolve issues in an efficient manor
Clear understanding of the design phases, and the construction process
Investigates and develop innovative methods to use BIM and LEAN processes
Thrive in a collaborative fast paced environment
Execute tasks and responsibilities effectively with minimal direction and oversight
Technical resource for all project team members
Provide Quality Control and Quality Analysis assessment on digital assets
Organization and management of vast amounts of data efficiently
Maintain and develop project BIM Execution Plan and Project Execution Requirements for individual projects
Develop VDC strategies/solutions starting during the preconstruction phase through the post-occupancy phase of a project
Create and analyze 2D/3D/4D/5D models as required
Develop VDC Schedules with field team
Understand SRUM and Agile project management techniques
Conduct weekly coordination meetings
Compare BIM with contract documents
VDC Coordinator Qualifications & Skills:
Experience with parametric modeling and analysis tools (i.e., Revit, Navisworks, Autocad, Solibri, Trimble Connect, Archicad, etc.)
Other applications; Microsoft Office 365, GoToMeeting, Adobe Creative Suite, Visual Studio, Unity, Unreal, BlueBeam, Realworks, BIMSight, Tekla
Ability to read architectural and engineering documents
Experience with Extended Reality, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality
Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture
General Knowledge of all Scopes of Work associated with Ground up Commercial Construction
Excellent written & verbal communication skills
Leadership skills with a willingness to lead by example
Valid Washington State Driver’s license with ability to provide proof of a clean driving record
Able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and a criminal background check
